1973–1978 – Studies at Tallinn Children’s Music School, specializing in French horn under the instruction of Aleksander Aleksejev.
1988–1993 – Studies at the Faculty of Culture at Tallinn Pedagogical Institute, majoring in cultural work and wind orchestra conducting. Conducting teachers: Ahti Rääst, French horn teacher: Kalmer Kiik.
2001–2004 – Studies at the Department of Informatics at Tallinn Pedagogical University, specializing in multimedia learning systems. Supervisor: TTÜ Associate Professor Jaak Henno.
